William de Wilde

For William's session on Jan 28 th he will be covering acrylic and watercolour paintings of plants and botanical drawings. Bring your choice of medium and you might like to bring some reference (bits of plants, pot plant, photos of flowers etc). Start 7pm, finish 9.30pm. £5 or £2.50 with 4 points on your AAG loyalty card.

Apparently the road through Arlington village is closed (actually closed, not 'closed') until Wednesday 27th Jan for water mains works so it should be open again for Thursday evening. If not, you can access the hall from the Berwick direction or follow the diversion from the Hailsham direction via Tye Hill Lane.

Road closed

I have just heard that the road through the village is closed but you can get to the hall via Tye Hill Lane, past Bates Green / the Bluebell walk.

Thursday 7 January 2016

4pm today, Thurs 7th Jan, there are no floods on the road through Arlington village.

If it does rain heavily, be aware that water can accumulate on the sharp bends into and in the middle of the village, between Berwick and the village, at the junction of Bayleys Lane and Thornwell Road, on the Michelham Road and surface water can build up on Arlington Road West.

Josie Tipler workshop

Sat 9th January, 10am - 3pm.
A one day art workshop with Josie Tipler in the Cartlodge at Horam Manor Farm in Horam.

Bring tracing paper, sketching paper and pencils plus whatever you would like to use for a final piece – canvas board or stretched canvas, mount card or heavyweight paper. Gouache and pastel on top of acrylic works well but bring whatever medium you like.

Subjects can be anything from a windy day to birds in flight or the human figure, bring a photo that inspires you.

Cost is £27.50.
