Children Artists
Would you like to display one of your pictures at the Arlington Arts Festival in July? We will have a marquee in the field next to Arlington Village Hall on 9th & 10th July and can show a limited number of children's paintings. This will be part of the Festival ART TRAIL. collection in aid of Chestnut Tree House.
Please bring your work to Arlington Village Hall between 1 and 4pm on Friday 8th July. Your work should be mounted onto cardboard or mountcard and have string attached either to the top 2 corners or stretched across the back of the picture so that it can be hung. Your name and parent's contact details should be marked clearly on the BACK of the picture. This is for unframed pictures only - if you have framed work we may be able to hang this in the exhibtion inside the village hall, but please check in advance if there will be space.
The pictures will be displayed inside a marquee which will be open to the public during the Art & Craft Show on 9th & 10th July. There will be artist's demonstrations and a 'have a go' art table in the marquee during the day and a Cajun Music Night on the evening of 9th July. We will take every care when hanging your work but we can not accept any liability for the work while it is in the marquee. As the marquee is not heated please be aware that the work may get slightly damp if the weather is cold or wet. Work must be collected at 5.30pm on Sunday 10th July. Any work not collected can not be returned.
If someone is interested in buying your work, we will take their details and pass them on to you.
Entrance to the Art & Craft show is £1 (free to under 16's) and it is open between 10.30am and 5pm on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July. There is an evening viewing of the Art Show in the Village Hall from 6pm - 8pm followed by the Cajun Music Night until 11 (tickets only). For details see the Arts Festival page.
