Thurs 27th Aug - 6.30pm. Star Inn, Normans Bay. We can have a drink and sit outside to draw the view or wander off to paint some of the scenes of the marshes. Although we hope we don't have rain, dark grey skies can make these views look highly dramatic.

Thank you very much to EVERYONE who entered, there was a great response and some fabulous pieces of work. And many thanks to all of the visitors to our Art Show this year for voting for their favourite entries in the competition.

Outdoor painting sessions in August

First, a thank you..
... to everyone who took part in, helped with or attended our Art & Craft Show last weekend. It was a HUGE success and our income (before expenses) came to over £600. We'll let you know what the final profits amount to and how much we will be donating to the MS Society and the Village Hall funds. Plans are already afoot for a big Arlington Weekend next year over the weekend of 17th & 18th July and the group are invited to hold an Art show as part of this so please do put a note of the date in your diary.

Outdoor painting sessions in August

As the village hall is closed for refurbishment of the kitchen throughout August we have arranged the following outdoor painting sessions, all free to members apart from car parking where applicable. All are weather dependant. Car share if you can.

Thurs 6th Aug - 6.30/7pm onwards. Pickhams, Hayreed Lane, Wilmington, BN26 6RR. Free to members and regulars / £2.50 visitors. Donations for refreshments please.

Thurs 13th Aug - 6.30pm. View of Belle Tout. Meet in the layby on Beachy Head Road www.google.co.uk/maps location 50.736868, 0.242783). Free parking?

Thurs 20th Aug - 6.30pm. View of the Cuckmere meanders from High and Over. According to the National Trust Cuckmere valley website the High and Over Trail on the South Downs Way is easy access and suitable for people with impaired mobility, wheelchairs, mobility scooters or push chairs. High and Over, Seaford, East Sussex BN25 3AB. Free.

Thurs 3rd Sept - 6.30pm if the hall is still not open or use we will meet at the car park next to the Royal Oak & Castle in Pevensey to paint a view of the castle. http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/pevensey-castle/directions. There is a £2 charge for the car park.

Thurs 10th Sept - 7pm at Arlington Village Hall. Usual charges.
