* AAG WORKSHOP June 25th Emily Wallis will first talk a bit about her job as an illustrator and show some illustrations and demonstrate her working process. She will then get you all to create a character!
It would be great if everyone could bring in a picture of an animal that they would like to draw or paint. For example, a picture from a calendar, a photograph of a pet, or a picture printed from the internet (the bigger the picture is the better, so you can get the detail). If you have a favourite children's book about animals, it might be nice to bring that in too.
 So if possible please bring:
 - A selection of watercolour paper - recommendationL Daler Rowney Bristol Board (A4/A3) if you have any, because it is suitable for all materials.
- Watercolour paints
- Watercolour brushes
- Mixing palette
- Jar for water
- A selection of fine liner pens
- A selection of pencils and a pencil sharpener
- A ruler and a rubber
- Your picture of an animal
- Your favourite animal children's book (if you have one!)

DEMELZA Heffle Cuckoo Fair

A big 'thank you' to everyone who took part in our group show at this event in April - it was a lovely event, the art show was a great success and we helped to add £98 to the funds raised on the day, which totalled about £4700!
One problem we raised was the lack of disabled parking - this is due to the road being closed to all traffic from 10am. It has been suggested that for future events, disabled parking will be allowed on the road just outside the hall entrance.
We have been invited to participate again on 16th April 2016. Please see a copy of the letter from Pam, who co-ordinated the art show with us, on the AAG website (below)
